Delete your InTimid account

InTimid is operated by inTIMID, Inc. This page explains how to delete your InTimid account, what happens to your data, and what we are not able to delete.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open InTimid and go to Settings.
2. Tap Account.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. We email a confirmation code to the address on your account. Enter it in the app to confirm.

Once you confirm, your account is closed and you can no longer sign in.

Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, email support@intimid.net from the address on your account, with the subject line “Delete my account”. We will confirm your request within 30 days.

What is deleted

Deletion of your data completes within 30 days of your request. We permanently delete:

• Your profile, photographs and generated avatars
• The identity information we hold from verification: your name, date of birth, city and postal code
• Your kAI conversation data on our systems, including the transcripts we hold
• Match history and match proposals
• In-app messages and call records
• Your sign-in credentials and email address, and the identifiers that link you to our payment, messaging and notification providers

What we are not able to delete

• Identity verification is carried out by an independent provider that holds your ID document and verification record on its own systems. We instruct that provider to redact your verification record. Its retention is governed by its own terms.
• Voice calls are carried by an independent provider that retains the recording and transcript of each call under its own terms. We delete the call records under our control. We do not currently have a way to delete recordings or transcripts held by that provider.

What is kept, and for how long

• For up to 30 days after your account is closed, your data is held in a restricted state that the app cannot reach, accessible only to company officers, for complaint and safety review and to meet legal obligations.
• Transaction and billing records are kept for 7 years, as required by tax and accounting law.
• Records required for legal, fraud prevention, safety or regulatory purposes are kept for as long as legally necessary.
• After that 30 day period we keep a de-identified record of your profile and conversation, with your name, email address, photographs and every link to your account removed. It cannot be traced back to you. We keep it indefinitely and use it to improve our matching service.
